I read the AP article (below). I am not merely perplexed that someone with the title of "United States Senator" would speak as you did Sunday; anyone can make a slip of the tongue based on old common vernaculars of a bygone era. Too much is made of it when that happens. Old farts like me are known to make the same mistake, but rarely, and usually when speaking of the 'hate crimes' in this country and in Europe 90% of which are committed BY blacks UPON whites. The reason I am writing is -- this old US soldier is actually angry with your "apology" as well as your reference to European American people as "white niggers." 1.) WHY, in the name of God, would you want to call a European American people, "white niggers," and make an apology to Tony Snow, stating you, " had no intention of casting aspersions on anyone of another race..."? 2.) Why would you apologize to Tony Snow, et al., for using the term, "white niggers," yet NOT apologize to 73% of the nation who are European Americans (your own Kindred)? 3.) Do you think it's OK to defame and offend European Americans, but not, "anyone of another race?"
